Job Description:
Our unique Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders is
seeking to hire an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist
with minimum 5-7 years experience. Knowledgeable of pediatrics,
sensory integration disorders, NDT, COTA supervision, Clinical
Practicum supervision, and other clinical practices for ages 3 to
21. Flexible work schedules can be offered for both part time or
full time positions. - Current SC license is required -
Knowledgeable of Clinical practice operations, assessments,
interventions, HIPAA, and SC authorizations and reporting
practices. - Experience working in multi-disciplinary practice and
collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. - Experience with ages
3 to 21, varying diagnoses Other options may be considered.
Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of
pediatric nd young adult patients, ages 3 to 21, to develop
individualized treatment plans and obtain insurance authorizations.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional
abilities and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Maintain accurate point of service documentation in compliance with
HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality. Maintain
protocols for environmental safety of staff and patients Provide
education and support to families regarding treatment goals and
strategies. Stay current with best practices in pediatric
occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional
development. Personal Skills & More 1. Strong Organizational and
Electronic Record Keeping Skills a must 2. Strong Written, Oral and
Soft Communication Skills a must 3. Demonstrate ability to be
flexible, patient, and adapt to change. 4. Maintain professional
appearance at all times with staff and clientele 5. Intermittent
and minimal travel may be required for training, special meetings,
BGC events, in-home observations, business development, continuing
education, conferences, and more. 6. Must pass background checks
with drug testing & fingerprinting included 7. CPR and First Aid
Certifications, preferred 8. Crisis Prevention Training, preferred
9. Masters Degree Required 10. References and work materials may be
verified. 11. No independent contractors or agencies. W2 positions
available only. Summary As an Occupational Therapist specializing
in pediatrics, you will be instrumental in enhancing the
developmental and functional abilities of children. Reporting to
the Clinical Director, your role involves providing patient care
through tailored therapy plans, including assisting with activities
of daily living (ADLs) and discharge planning. Your expertise in
medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology will be essential in
collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support children with
disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. With a
Master's degree and certifications in CPR and First Aid, you will
ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while fostering a
nurturing environment for young patients. Job Types: Full-time,
Part-time - Salaried W-2 and Hourly W-2 Positions available
Compensated for Direct and Indirect time in Salaried posiitons
