  • Nurses can choose a 36-hour or 48-hour work week
  • Must be willing to take a max of 8 patient when needed
  • All candidates will need to complete a virtual interview for this role

  • 32 bed fast paced unit
  • Nurse Patient Ratio: 1:6; may go up to 1:8
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatric, Outpatient
  • Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Total knee replacement, Total hip replacement, Total ankle replacement, Total shoulder replacement, fracture repair, spine surgeries including XLIF, ALIF, TDLF, ACDF, PCDF, microdisc, lamis
  • Common Medications used on the unit: Pain medication, Antibiotics, Anticoagulants, Home medications, Antiemetics, steroids
  • Common Equipment: Ice wraps, Polar coolers
  • May float to other Med/Surg areas - varies on surgical schedule

    • IV Insertion (Required)
    • PICC/Central Line Management (Preferred)
    • Traction (Preferred)
    • CPM (Preferred)
    • Epidural/PCA pumps (Preferred)
    • Feeding Tubes (Preferred)
    • Wound Vac (Preferred)
    • Remote Tele (Preferred)
    • Tele Interpretation (Preferred)
    • CPAP/BiPAP (Preferred)

      • Boone Health can call off staff for up to 36 hours in a contract
